Sinopec signed agreements with nine coal-based natural gas companies including China Huaneng, China Huadian, China Guodian, China Power Investment Group, Henan Coal Chemicals, Xuyuan Group, China Wanxiang, Xinjiang Guanghui, and Lijing Coal to implement Xinjiang coal-based natural gas. Xinjiang's coal-to-natural gas pipeline project includes the New Yuezhe Pipeline and the Xinlu Pipeline, with a designed gas transmission capacity of 30 billion cubic meters per year. Among them, the new Guangdong-Zhejiang-Zhejiang Pipeline will build 1 trunk line and 5 branch lines, with an estimated total length of 7373 kilometers, supporting the construction of gas storages and LNG emergency peak-loading stations, and the target markets will be 13 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities including Xinjiang, Gansu and Ningxia; Xinlu Pipeline will construct a trunk line and two branch lines, with an estimated total length of 4,463 kilometers, supporting the construction of gas storage (shared with the new Guangdong-Zhejiang-Zhejiang pipeline), and the target markets are Henan, Shandong, Hebei, and Beijing.
